Each Area in turn elects a number of Regional and Drama Representatives who are the vital link with members, both societies
and individuals. The day to day running of the Association is by a professional staff of eight at NODA House in London, purchased
by the membership in 1954. The Association remains self-financing through membership subscriptions and the profits of NODA Limited
- the Association's commercial arm. NODA Ltd. is the agent for an insurance policy specially designed for the Amateur Theatre by
Axa and also has a pantomime agency with over 60 titles from leading panto authors. Members benefit from discounted sales of scripts,
libretti and scores as well as make-up, theatre books and group theatre tickets. NODA Ltd. also offer an unrivalled sheet music
service and many theatrical gifts and mementos.
NODA runs a week-long residential Summer School (at the University of Loughborough) covering many aspects of theatre craft
as well as many other smaller regional workshops throughout the year. With a National Conference, Area Conferences, the publication
of a quarterly National News and area magazines, the National Operatic and Dramatic Association provides a national network of
services for all aspects of the Amateur Theatre in the UK.
