Oklahoma - 23rd to the 28th February 2009.
A couple of young cowboys win the hearts of their sweethearts in the Oklahoma territory in the early 1900s
despite the interference of an evil ranch hand and that of a roaming peddler. The musical is partially about the Indian territory
becoming the state of Oklahoma as well as a light hearted love story. Curly is a stubborn cowboy who has trouble admitting his feelings
to Laurey, as does she for him. Another local character Ado Annie is trying to choose between the rather ordinary Will Parker, who
has stong feelings for her and the more exciting Ali Hakim, a peddler and ladies man who doesn't really want to marry her. Aunt Ella,
a friendly middle-aged woman known and respected by the whole community has a hired hand, Judd Fry who tries to come between Laurey
and Curly because he is loney and thinks he's in love with Laurey. How they sort out their problems is the story of Oklahoma!
